Dave Corbus spent over a decade playing in New York City as part of the "downtown" and mainstream jazz scenes. He played in in several world music bands and in some of New York's finest clubs with the blues/funk/jazz band Business of Blues and his trio played at the New York club Augies (now Smoke) for a three-year stint. Dave has played with a variety of well-known jazz musicians such as Red Holloway, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Wycliffe Gordon, Play Johnson, Lewis Nash, Bobby Watson and Joey DeFrancesco, and his trio has performed at Denver’s finest jazz clubs and Colorado’s favorite music festivals. Dave has two CDs under his own name - Trios Time and Sound Down, and two CDs as co-lead with the organ trio 3ocity with Pat Bianchi. He also appears on many other CDs including with the Ken Walker Sextet and the Jeff Jenkins organ trio The Organization. He is currently the jazz guitar teacher at University of Colorado Boulder
